Inquirer e-books now on Kindle

THE PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 6, 2012: The Inquirer Group will make its two books available via Kindle. “With Due Respect: Selected Columns from the Philippine Daily Inquirer” by retired Chief Justice Artemio V. Panganiban 
and “No Free Lunch: Economics in Bite-Sized Pieces, Selected Columns from the Philippine Daily Inquirer” by Cielito Habito are both available in the Kindle Store for $5.95 in the United States and $7.95 outside the U.S. mainland.
 
“With Due Respect” (http://amzn.to/WithDueRespectKindle) deals with the importance of electoral and legal reform and discusses the inner workings of the Supreme Court, as well as the importance of legal and electoral reforms in advancing Philippine democracy.
 
“No Free Lunch,” (http://amzn.to/NoFreeLunchKindle), as stated in its foreword, explains the reasons behind oil and rice price increases, why reducing poverty has proven to be such an elusive goal, and the impact overseas markets have on the Philippine economy.
 
The books are available for free on the Digital Newsstand (http://bit.ly/Inquirer-digital) for annual subscribers to the Inquirer Group’s newspapers (Inquirer, Cebu Daily News and Bandera).
 
This new digital efforts follows the Inquirer’s full digital edition launched in February 2011.
