AD STARS extends entry deadline to June 15, 2018

BUSAN - AD STARS has extended its entry deadline until Friday 15th June 2018, giving agencies, creatives, production companies, students and advertising enthusiasts one more month to submit their entries to the 11th AD STARS Awards.

AD STARS is free to enter, and the only festival with a US$10,000 cash prize for Grand Prix of the Year winners.

“AD STARS received over 21,500 entries last year and we are delighted to say that entries are flooding in from around the world again this year. However, several agencies have been in touch to request more time and so we have extended the deadline until Friday 15th June. It is important to note this will be the final deadline extension as preliminary judging commences on 20th June,” explains Lydia Lee, Assistant Manager at AD STARS, who oversees entries to AD STARS.

Entries are now open in the following categories: Film, Print, Outdoor, Radio & Audio, Design, Interactive, Mobile, Data Insights, Social & Influencer, PR, Promotion, Direct, Media, Integrated, Innovation, and Place Brand. AD STARS is also seeking entries to its PSA (Public Service Advertising) and ‘Video Stars’ categories, including: Branded Information Videos; Branded Entertainment Videos; Branded Viral Videos; Campaign Videos (Case Film); and Non Branded Videos.

Helen Pak, Chief Creative Officer at GREY Canada, was an Executive Judge at AD STARS 2017. She says: “AD STARS is a great judging experience. Seeing such a variety of work from different regions and being with such a diverse group of talented judges was an honour. AD STARS is a truly special experience.”

Florentin Hock, Group Creative Director at Jung von Matt/SAGA GmbH in Hamburg was one of 30 final judges who travelled to Busan last August: “The submitted work was very good, the jury very professional and the people were very friendly. I especially liked the democratic approach of the festival, which opens world-class creative work to the public.”

With the theme ‘Connect!’, AD STARS 2018 will run from 23rd to 25th August at Bexco (Busan Exhibition and Conference Centre) in Busan, Korea.
