Best Advertising Announced at Adman Awards 2017

The Thai Advertising Association of Thailand organized Adman Awards & Symposium 2017 or the 14th Adman Awards & Symposium under the theme of “No Format Creativity”, following the changes of communication environment caused by the abrupt development and changes of information technology. Creativity necessary for solving marketing problems or answering needs must be reformed to be not only an idea with creativity but also an outside-the-box idea that works in all platforms which can truly answer customers’ needs.

This year, 712 advertisement from 15 categories were submitted and nominated for the award. BBDO Bangkok won Agency of the Year award for the third consecutive year as BBDO Bangkok has the highest number of advertisement submission and received the highest score for nomination. Choojai and Friends received Digital Agency of the Year award while McCann Worldgroup won Best of Film award from “Capture” of Verena International Co., Ltd. CJ WORX won Best of Print/Out of Home and No Format Creativity award, which is the new category this year from “The Unusual Football Field” of AP (Thailand) Plc. The project was widely recognized in terms of no format creativity that can meet the expectation of the Think Space concept and can be perfectly used with any platforms. Every nominated project this year is creative and reflects the no format communication that quickly occurs as of today, conveying the ability to adapt and set the trend of the advertisement people as well as answering the needs of what the brand wants to communicate with consumers in the complete, easy-to-understand, recognizable, motivating and inspiring manner. The Hall of Fame award, the highlight of this year’s event, was given to Mr. Bhanu Inkawat, Executive Creative Director of Greyhound Co., Ltd. As he is considered one of the most talented admans and an important person in the advertising industry who has immensely made benefits for the industry and future generations.

CJ Worx wins Best of Print/Out-of-Home and No Format Creativity Award for "Unusual Football Field" for AP Thailand

Hall of Fame awardee Bhanu Inkawat, ECD, Greyhound Co. Ltd. lifts his trophy

Other interesting awards include Advertiser of the Year award, given to AP (Thailand) Plc. and Production House of the Year award, given to Phenomena. The awards for the most outstanding advertisement and marketing communication of Thailand for 2017 were given to the top three admans with the highest score which are BBDO Bangkok with 153 points, Choojai and Friends with 97.5 points, and CJ WORX with 95 points. For the public participation activities, Adman Awards 2017 has collaborated with the Brand Buffet website to vote for “Popular Advertisement” award and this year the “Speed Limit Monk Statue” by BBDO Bangkok went home with the award.
