adobo magazine, December 18, 2017 | 9:53am

Dentsu Aegis Network has been named 2017's top new business performer in media, dominating the latest rankings by research company RECMA. The media agencies in the group --- Carat, dentsu X and Vizeum, whose collective new business success, have contributed to this brilliant achievement.

RECMA's report reviews more than 600 media accounts won between January to October 2017 and focuses on international, global client and multi-market wins. Dentsu Aegis media agencies have accrued net new business wins of nearly US$2 billion – a US$3.5 billion gap between Dentsu Aegis and the biggest loser.

Key wins that contributed to this brilliant result were AB InBev in North America, Africa and EMEA by Vizeum, VW in China by dentsu X, Coca Cola in China, P&G in the Nordics and GM Chevrolet dealers in the US by Carat. Importantly, Dentsu Aegis also retained almost 90 percent of clients in pitches where the network was the incumbent agency, further demonstrating its effectiveness in servicing clients once they've been won.
