Twelve months ago, Vizeum was faced with the challenge to shape up or die in the vine. The reform measure started with the infusion of a new leadership. Oyie Pingol was hired as managing director and exceptional talents were added to match the requirement for faster agency growth.
Oyie Pingol states, “Credentials and a good company performance built in less than a year won’t even cut it for any client. We had to show ourselves and literally go through a revalida with clients to prove our capabilities before finally getting their nod. We intend to keep proving ourselves as we actually take on the tasks and responsibilities of gaining the trust and confidence of both existing and targeted clients.
A case in point is Abbott. A year ago, Abbott initially looked at the agency with unconfident eyes, but with continued and consistent effort, Vizeum was able to turn the negative impression around. Recently Vizeum was awarded the Agency on Record of Abbott.”
The months of continuous effort to put the agency on steadier ground, has been paying off, acquiring an average of two new accounts every month. “It’s certainly no picnic, but what we have right now is a product of nine months of grit and perseverance in the face of challenges to improve client servicing, perfecting our craft and winning new business,” Pingol avers.
