adobo magazine welcomes Carlo Ople, Chief Digital Officer of Dentsu JaymeSyfu, formerly DM9 Digit, as one of the speakers at adobo Festival of Ideas 2016.
Ople is a multi-awarded and veteran digital marketing executive with a wealth of experience across various disciplines. Prior to leading an agency, Carlo held marketing and executive positions in TV5, Friendster, and Level Up Games. Outside of advertising, Carlo is the founder and editor-in-chief of Unbox.ph, a technology and gadget website that has over 1,000,000 unique visitors per month. The site has won numerous awards including the 2013 Globe Tatt Awards for Best Tech Blog in the Philippines.
In the age of industry-changing disruptive business models, gamified promos and apps, and the rise of post-millennial Generation Z, “Create. Innovate. Or Die”, this year's festival theme, will highlight how today's incoming creative industry professionals can adapt and succeed in today's tumultuous and exciting times of constant disruption.
As an evangelist for digital & social media, Carlo has conducted workshops, talks, and trainings across the country for private companies, multinationals, SMEs, politicians, TV networks, churches, and government agencies. Some of these institutions include ABS-CBN News, the CBCP, the Philippine National Police, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Office of the President. His talk will be a survival guide towards making it in the age of widespread extinction and rapid evolution where entire professions and industries are being wiped out by new business models and technologies.
