MANILA — adobo magazine, The Word on Creativity, and the only trade publication for the advertising and marketing communications industry in the Philippines were given a Merit Award for “The New adobo Digital” and an Excellence Award for “Project PASS10N 2016” under the Communication Skills division at the 15th Quill Awards last July 5, 2017 at the Marriot Hotel in Pasay City.
adobo magazine was also one of the top companies in contention for the Top Award under the Communication Skills division. Stratworks, Inc. and Habitat for Humanity tied for the Top Award for “#ToughestJob2016: What does the Philippine President Do” and “The Annual Report Made by Kids” campaigns respectively.
adobo magazine has already won three Top Awards in the Quill Awards, with a score of Merit Awards and Excellence Awards under its belt.
This year’s entry for digital featured the publication’s significant efforts in transforming its digital assets to create more dynamic content in different forms including videos with animated elements, video coverage of the top festivals in the industry as well as interviews of top industry leaders, 360 VR executions, a new e-blast layout, Facebook instant articles and other content responsive to the interests of the industry.
It was a 2 out of 2 performance for adobo magazine with its “Project PASS10N 2016” winning an Excellence Award. As adobo magazine reached its 10th year of existence, it went beyond its brand of excellent reportage on the industry’s most important events as well as important and insightful analyses of the different trends and changes its readership is facing. From featuring industry VIPs and celebrities on its front cover, adobo magazine started to feature concept photography and art to further establish itself as the Word on Creativity. Truly, it has become an indispensable source of the best news, features, and insights into the advertising and creative industries. In the digital world, print is the new premium, a tangible keepsake, and a venue for great design and illustration that is still best appreciated on paper rather than on the screen. adobo magazine has been providing this venue for the industry in the past 10 years and in the years to come.
