adobo and LIA Poster Contest 2013: Shortlists are out and Judging starts today

AUGUST 29, 2013, MANILA – With over 200 entries posted on Instagram with the hashtags #adoboLIA2013 and #advertisingmorefuninthephilippines, adobo magazine named the finalists for this year’s adobo and London International Awards Poster Contest with the theme Advertising. More fun in the Philippines

The posters will undergo online judging by local ad geniuses which include creative director Jake Tesoro of TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, chief collaborator of Collab Manila Tonypet Sarmiento, Leo Burnett Manila creative director Alvin Tecson, DM9 JaymeSyfu executive creative director Louie Sotto, Seven AD chief executive officer Teeny Gonzales, creative director Joe Dy of JWT Manila, Aspac Advertising chief creative officer Joey Ong and McCann Worldgroup AVP and deputy executive creative director Peter Acuña.
 
The 104 shortlisted entries will be scored based on the following criteria: Relevance to the theme (40%), Creativity and Presentation (40%), and Originality (20%). PricewaterhouseCooper Isla Lipana & Co will validate the scores from the judges. 
 
Two young creatives from a Philippine 4As advertising agency will be declared as winners and get a chance to meet the gods of advertising in Las Vegas, USA at the London International Awards Creative Conversations on October 7-13, 2013. Winners will also be published in adobo magazine in a full-spread feature.
 
Moreover, two People Choice Awards winners will receive London International Awards Annuals. Voting is open to all and will be done through Facebook by garnering the most number of Likes.
