MANILA, September 23, 2013 – Officials have arrested two suspects believed to be involved in the murder of MRM account executive Kae Davantes.
According to a report on GMA News Online, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested construction worker Samuel Decimo Friday night.
Decimo confessed that he and four other companions followed Davantes to her home with the intention of robbing her. He said that they accosted her when she was opening the gate to her home.
In the report, the suspect said that they were not planning to kill Davantes, but did so when they realized she saw their faces and would be able to identify them. Decimo admitted to stabbing Davantes himself.
Davantes’s body was found on the morning of September 7 in Silang, Cavite. Her car, which had been missing, was recovered last week.
According to another report, a second suspect has been arrested, though further details have not been provided.
