Previous Philippine winners in the One Show were JWT for its Greenpeace “Trees” print ad and TBWASantiago Mangada Puno for its public service radio ad for Philippine General Hospital.

The One Show was established to set the industry standard for creative excellence in print, television radio, outdoor, innovative media and marketing, and integrated branding. Each year, a wide variety of work—from multinational advertising giants to small regional shops—was judged by an international jury of award-winning art directors, copywriters and creative directors. More than 18,000 entries from nearly 60 countries were accepted this year, and from that number, only 500 made it to the shortlists.

What differentiates the One Show from other advertising award shows has always been a consistent and focused regard for the creative concept. The One Show, simply, is about great ideas.

On May 6-9, the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners are going to be announced in New York City. From there, the work becomes part of a international traveling exhibition making annual stops in Japan, Brazil, China, South Africa and other host cities.

Perhaps the single biggest reason people enter the One Show is the prospect of having their work immortalized in The One Show: Advertising’s Best Print, Radio and TV, one of the world’s most respected (and plagiarized) advertising annuals.
