OMD Australia announces leadership changes

ASIA-PACIFIC – SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, MARCH 2011 – Alistair Henderson has been promoted to the position of National Strategy Director, OMD Australia, with immediate effect. He will be based in Sydney and he will report directly to Peter Horgan.
 
Henderson previously held the role of Director of Fuse, OMD’s engagement channel planning and branded content group. Coming from a background in public relations and sponsorship, he joined OMD Australia’s strategy group in 2004 and established Fuse Australia in 2006. As Head of FUSE, Henderson has led the creation and execution of some of the most awarded work generated from Australia. The trophy cabinet includes Silver and Bronze Lions at Cannes Advertising Festival; an ASTRA Industry Award for Excellence; Grand Prix at the Australian Media Federation Awards and the AdNews Media Campaign of the Year twice.
 
Joanne Liddell has been promoted to the position of Director of Fuse. She will be based in Sydney and will report directly to Mark Jarrett, General Manager of OMD Sydney. 
 
Since 2007, Liddell has worked alongside Henderson to deliver a wide variety of branded content campaigns for OMD clients. Highlights include winning Cannes Lions for McDonalds (Silver) and Fantastic Noodles (Bronze), and Media Campaign of the Year in 2008 for V Energy Drink. Liddell has helped build Fuse from three people to a highly skilled team of ten, developing core capabilities across production, events, experiential and sponsorships.
