UA&P IMC students to attend Spikes Asia anew

THE PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 13, 2011: Another batch of college seniors from the University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P) have registered for the Spikes Asia Advertising Festival in Singapore on September 18 to 20. This was confirmed by Dr. Jerry Kliatchko, dean of the UA&P School of Communication.

The 45 student delegates are enrolled in the university’s Integrated Marketing Communications program. In 2010, 43 students attended the festival, accompanied by Dr. Kliatchko and Dr. Francine Calero-Racho, vice dean. Dr. Kliatchko found that the students’ experience at Spikes last year was enriching and consistent with their training: "Our students found the sessions very relevant; they felt all their classes at the IMC program at UA&P are very up-to-date. They liked the fact that what they were learning at school were actual issues happening in the industry."

Although the travel expenses are the students’ own, Spikes Asia student packages cost less than a third of the regular delegates, with the same inclusions except for the Afterparty. For more information visit www.spikes.asia.
