Ogilvy Singapore’s Eric Yeo returns as Ogilvy Philippines’ Group Executive Creative Director

THE PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 13, 2011: Ogilvy & Mather Philippines announced today the appointment of Eric Yeo as Group Executive Creative Director, effective October this year, filling a role that has been vacant for three years.

An Ogilvy veteran, Yeo is currently a creative director with Ogilvy Singapore. In his new role, he will be working closely with Randy Aquino, Head of Country, Ogilvy Philippines, to create work that builds upon the Ogilvy Twin Peaks of pervasive creativity and effectiveness. He has also been tasked to develop and implement the agency’s creative agenda.

An avid barefoot runner, Yeo is no stranger to the Philippines, having been interim ECD of the Manila office two years ago. He judged the Creative Guild’s Kidlat Awards this year.

Commented Randy Aquino, Head of Country, Ogilvy Philippines; “We are excited to have Eric on board. He has worked with our team before, and there was definitely chemistry there. Not only is Eric a multi-awarded and seasoned creative director, he also has the perfect combination of Asian cultural sensibilities and international standards. As a creative leader, Eric is a very nurturing person who is selfless when it comes to sharing his ideas and experience and relentless in his pursuit for creative excellence.”

Yeo’s appointment as Group ECD completes the creative management restructuring of Ogilvy Philippines, where he will head up a team of creative leads: Mike Sicam, Creative Director for OgilvyOne; Alnair Langkay, Creative Director for RedWorks; and the tandem of Gerry Cacanindin and Lito Gemora, Creative Directors for O&M Advertising.

Yeo will be overseeing the creative output for the agency’s clients across the disciplines, such as Unilever, Kraft Johnson & Johnson, KFC, Nike and Nestle. He recently nabbed a prestigious Yellow Pencil for his work for Faber Castell at D&AD.
