MANILA – December 13, 2013 – adobo magazine formally launched its #GenerosiTee campaign during the 26th Lakihan Mo Logo event on December 12 at B-Side, The Collective in Makati.

Called Rock. Rebuild., the event featured energetic performances from Turband, Marty McFly, Moonstar88, Imago, Pedicab, Sandwich, Shoulder State, Pasok Mga Buwitre, and Obscure 90s.

In between performances, guest speakers from Red Cross and adobo talked about GenerosiTee, which is a shirt that is meant to be used as a bag for relief goods. "This is really a great way to help out, because the shirt is an earth-friendly alternative to using plastic bags for relief goods," said Ryan Jopia, manager, Community Health and Nursing Services at Philippine Red Cross.

"We encourage you to post photos of the relief goods using the hashtag #GenerosiTee, to help spread the word. We want this to become a movement," said Angel Guerrero, adobo magazine’s editor-in-chief and president.

Videos of GenerosiTee ambassadors were also shown at the event, to demonstrate how the shirt can be transformed into a bag.

The shirt is sold at P250, with proceeds going to Yolanda survivors. Packed GenerosiTee shirts will be delivered through Red Cross.

There was also an #Unselfie booth at the event, where people could write calls to action for Yolanda relief efforts. The campaign by BBDO Guerrero calls on people to post their #Unselfie photos on social networking sites, as a way to show their support. http://www.adobomagazine.com/global/module.php?LM=news.level1&id=1384509785896

Guests also learned about Causeroad, an online auction for those affected by Typhoon Yolanda. Items include a Shepard Fairey Skateboard Deck from Skate of the Nation, and original drawings from Alamat ng Panget by JWT’s Apol Sta. Maria, who was also present at the event. The event was also streamed live on Causeroad.com.
