BENCH/ partners with Red Cross for Yolanda relief

MANILA – January 2, 2014 – In support of continued relief efforts for the survivors of typhoon Yolanda, Philippine clothing brand BENCH/ has partnered with Red Cross for its new campaign, #BENCHAid.

 

"To help aid the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda, BENCH/ partners with the Philippine Red Cross on a medical mission to provide sufficient supply of blood to the affected areas in the Visayas region," the company announced on social media.

 

The campaign encourages people to give the t of life this Christmas by donating blood through a Philippine Red Cross Blood Services Facility. To encourage people to donate blood, BENCH/ has been sharing information such as:

 

Did you know that donating blood on a regular basis can also improve fitness? Research says that the donor’s body can burn up to 650 calories by donating one pint of blood (450 ml). 

 

The campaign is supported by BENCH/ endorsers such as Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Jake Cuenca, Enchong Dee, Richard Gomez, Lucy Torres-Gomez, and Richard Gutierrez.
