MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Last weekend on kumu proved to be extra festive as the iconic “Beki Quiz” game show celebrated its 2nd year anniversary, packed with generous prizes and extra laughs. Among the anniversary surprises, hosts Pretty Ashlii and Mc Pol unveiled the new, official Beki Quiz jingle, which is now available for viewing on the Beta PH TV YouTube account.

Created by singer, song-writer, and kumu streamer, Tiara Shaye, (@tiarashaye5) the official Beki Quiz jingle is a music video homage, capturing the eccentricity, vibrance, and addictively fun spirit of the LGBTQIA+ championed game show. Earlier this year, Beki Quiz held an official “Jingle Making Contest”, of which Tiara’s submission was the winner.
The anniversary special was hosted within the game show’s regular programming on March 20th, Saturday, 9pm. Prizes were amped up, and included a cash prize of up to Php 50,000; what’s more, viewers and players had the amazing opportunity to win some coveted tech’ pieces: 2 Samsung phones, 2 Samsung Tablets, and 2 Asus Laptops.
“Beki Quiz”, which is co-created by kumu and Beta studios, was one of the first game shows on kumu, and has since been a staple program in the Kumunity. With 2 strong years under its belt, the show is set to continue its trajectory, alongside kumu’s forecasted expansion in the coming years.
“The one thing that excites me about [kumu] is how diverse the Kumunity is.”, shares Ashley Polinar, better known as Pretty Ashlii in the app. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Ashley found kumu’s welcoming environment conducive to their creativity. It is a well-known fact that the kumu founders themselves are LGBTQIA+ advocates. “That’s why the love and support from the viewers and founders are superb!”
Indeed, some would credit kumu’s culture of inclusivity as a major factor in its expansion, as content-creators find their niche in the livestreaming app. Host Mc Pol shares this belief, and anticipates exciting possibilities ahead. They share, “I can see kumu conquering the international audiences, helping not just the Filipinos, but also different cultures outside the Philippines.”
