ASIA-PACIFIC – NOVEMBER 23, 2011: Three award-winning advertising executives from the Asia Pacific region will travel to Istanbul on January 26 to 27, 2012 to take part in an exciting new program called ‘Golden Stage’ at the 5th Intercontinental Advertising Cup (THE CUP).
‘Golden Stage’ is a new initiative that invites top winning agencies from ADFEST, FIAP, ADC*E and Golden Drum to attend the two-day Intercontinental Creative Summit at THE CUP, where executives will each give a 10-minute presentation about their experiences, views, and visions since winning their awards.
Representing the Asia Pacific and ADFEST are Khalid Osman, Creative Director, DDB Singapore; Yasuharu Sasaki, Executive Creative Director, Dentsu, (now based in New York); and Subun Khow, Executive Creative Director at BBDO Bangkok.
In Istanbul, Osman, Khow and Sasaki will present their award-winning works, which won Lotus Awards during this year’s ADFEST in Phuket, Thailand.
“At Golden Stage, we want to introduce the actual winners from four big continental festivals connected with THE CUP, because last year’s heroes are the new creative élite of the advertising profession,” says Meta Dobnikar, Vice President of the Golden Drum.
In total, 12 advertising creatives from four continents will take part in ‘Golden Stage’, including three professionals from each participating Festival – ADFEST, FIAP, ADC*E and Golden Drum.
THE CUP brings together the crème de la crème of advertising campaigns created across four continents. Every year, winning entries from ADFEST (Asia Pacific), FIAP (Ibero America), Golden Drum (Eastern Europe) and ADC*E (Europe) are entered into THE CUP, where they are judged by the highest-level international jurors.
The 5th Intercontinental Advertising Cup awards ceremony and Intercontinental Creative Summit takes place at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Istanbul in January 2012. For more information, visit www.thecupawards.com.
