People: GIGIL’s Abesamis and Hernandez make it to Adweek’s Creative 100

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Adweek, the leading global source for news and insight on brand marketing, has come out with its Creative 100a list of 2021’s “most fascinating and enviable creative professionals, ranging from influential icons to emerging game-changers.”

Among those on the roll are the founding partners of GIGIL: Badong Abesamis and Herbert HernandezThey are the first from the Philippines to ever break into the list.

Badong and Herbert founded GIGIL in 2017, but already, it was the Philippines’ most effective agency in the 2020 APAC Effies, the regional show that measures the creative effectiveness of advertising ideas.

GIGIL was also named by Campaign AOY not just “Philippines Independent Agency of the Year 2020,” but also “Philippines Creative Agency of the Year 2020.”
