MANILA – This June, TV5 in partnership with Ace Saatchi & Saatchi and Unitel will launch ‘JasMINE’, the first of the network’s list of programs that can be enjoyed via multi-screen media consumption.

A romantic drama-suspense series, JasMINE goes across digital platforms, with a second-screen feature that allows its audience to enjoy content both from their television and mobile screens.

With this feature, viewers can follow JasMINE on-air and online, get access to relevant and exclusive content, and engage with the show and their fellow fans.

In the TV series-within-a-TV series, Jasmine Curtis Smith plays a fictional version of herself as TV5’s most promising young actress, poised to become the on-screen partner of the network’s hottest actor, Alexis Vergara (Vin Abrenica). As she clinches the lead role in the network’s fictional flagship series Ur Loved, Jasmine is exposed to the bitter realities of fame. Even worse, Jasmine acquires a stalker named Maskara.

According to Curtis-Smith, the show blurs the line between fact and fiction, but she believes the audience will be able to tell the difference. “I think the biggest challenge will probably be defining reality from fiction. Because it’s very close to reality, baka maniwala ang mga tao na ganun talaga ang buhay ko. Little details are the same, like the fact that I’m from Australia and my name is Jasmine. But I think the audience is smart enough to be able to distinguish what is real,” she said.

Ace Saatchi & Saatchi is in charge of the program’s creative content, while Unitel Entertainment is the program’s line producer.

JasMINE premieres on June 1, 9:15 p.m. on TV5.
