One of the marketing communications agencies of DDB Group Philippines, DDB MNL has promoted Maan Agsalud to Executive Creative Director (ECD) and Ryder Aquino to Deputy Executive Creative Director.

“We have supported the professional growth of Maan and Ryder throughout the years and we are happy to entrust them with even greater roles in the agency. With them leading DDB MNL’s creative pack, we are confident that we will be able to achieve our goal to transform DDB MNL into the agency of the future – one that will provide even greater value to our client brands,” said Henson.

Maan Agsalud, Executive Creative Director

Agsalud’s years of experience with DDB MNL and her past agencies has definitely primed her to take on the ECD role. She has been with DDB MNL for eight years as Associate Creative Director at first and later on as copy-based Creative Director, handling award-winning campaigns for PepsiCo brands and the Department of Tourism, to name a few.

Throughout the years, she has shown excellent people skills, dedication in mentoring her team, and expertise in handling different categories as well as in winning new business.

As ECD, she will lead the creative team of DDB MNL, drive the creative culture of the agency and oversee creative ideation and integration of major campaigns and pitches, as well as serve as awards strategist and growth planner tasked to improve the agency’s products and processes, and put together training programs for creatives.

Ryder Aquino, Deputy Executive Creative Director

On the other hand, Aquino, who will serve as Deputy Executive Creative Director, has been with DDB MNL for five years now as art-based Creative Director. He has shown passion and dedication as the team head for AC Motors, distributor of automotive brands Kia, Maxus, and Volkswagen. Nonetheless, there’s no such thing as brand fit for Aquino as he can handle different categories as well. He also leads the creative team on the agency’s campaigns for Smart, PLDT, and Gatorade Ion, among other brands.

As Deputy ECD, Aquino will help Agsalud lead DDB MNL’s creative team. He will be Head of Art, maintaining high standards of visual output and setting up training systems for art and design talents. He will also serve as creative lead and collaborator, overseeing key accounts and the creatives team’s output.

Notably, this thirty-something, talented duo of DDB MNL’s top creatives complement each other’s strengths and skills. Agsalud is copy-based while Aquino is art-based. Agsalud shines with her people and mentoring skills and track record in varied categories. Aquino, on the other hand, is talented in crafting and art directing, enhancing the creative output from start to finish. Both are entrepreneurs, which manifests in how their creative ideas lead to campaigns that become instrumental in building our clients’ businesses.
