MANILA – GroupM emerged as the top media branch in the Philippines, topping the Recma Overall Activity Ranking on the group level with 43 percent of the industry shares in 2013.
The agency posted a 19 percent growth from the previous year.
Three of the five top agencies belong to the GroupM network: Mindshare in the second spot, MediaCom in the third, and MEC in the fifth spot.
Publicis took the second spot in the group level ranking, with 38 percent of market share and a 36 percent growth rate.
Under Publicis is Starcom MediaVest SMG, which topped the agency level rankings for the fourth straight year. Zenith Optimedia, also under Publicis, ranked fourth on the agency level.
Ranking third was Omincom Media Group, which grew by 58 percent to claim 8 percent of market share. Mediabrands ranked fourth, with 6 percent of industry shares and posting a growth of 4 percent from the previous year.
Dentsu Aegis claimed the fifth spot with 3 percent of industry shares, while Havas, with two percent market share, had the 6th spot despite having the highest growth at 159 percent.
