People: Sanjay Bhasin expands Vietnam & Myanmar leadership remit with return to Thailand Market as dentsu international Thailand CEO

BANGKOK, THAILAND — Dentsu Asia-Pacific today announces the appointment of Sanjay Bhasin as CEO, dentsu Thailand, in addition to his current role as CEO, dentsu Vietnam & Myanmar. This appointment is central to dentsu Asia-Pacific’s strategy to strengthen the market clusters and bring Thailand into its next phase of growth.

Sanjay’s appointment follows the retirement of Khun Amornsak Sakpuaram, CEO dentsu Thailand & Executive Chairman, dentsu MB Thailand. Having been with the dentsu network for 37 years, Khun Amornsak will assume an advisory role from 1 January 2022 until the end of Q1 2022. He will work closely with Sanjay and the Thailand Leadership team to ensure a smooth transition.

Sanjay returns to Thailand, having spent nine years running Y&R Southeast Asia out of Thailand before joining dentsu in 2018. He will be splitting his time equally between Thailand and Vietnam. He commences his new role on 1 January 2022.
