MANILA – In a move to reach out to the next generation of creatives and advertising professionals and finally shed some light on the myths and misconceptions about the industry, adobo magazine is launching the Festival of Ideas, a whole day event of seminars and talks from industry insiders and experts.
Aiming to give juniors and students a more realistic and holistic grasp on the advertising industry, the event is divided into eight sessions covering various topics relevant to today’s ad men. Talks discuss issues such as Advertising and Marketing Happiness, Digital Pervasiveness, The Battle for Creativity, Work-Life Balance, and more.
The line-up of speakers is a who’s who of the industry’s most prominent creative leaders: McCann Worldgroup President Raul Castro, Coca-Cola Marketing Director Jasmin Vinculado, Publicis Manila CEO Matec Villanueva, filmmaker Marlon Rivera, Publicis JimenezBasic Associate Creative Directors JP Cuison and Kulas Abrenilla, advertising veteran Ompong Remigio, Publicis JimenezBasic Executive Creative Director Brandie Tan, AKQA Shangai Creative Director Asterio Guttierez, Lowe Philippines president and CCO Leigh Reyes, TBWA\SMP ACD John Ed De Vera, ABS-CBN chief digital officer Donald Lim, Spotify Sales Director of Asia Jonathan Nadiranto, DM9JaymeSyfu CCO and Chairman Merlee Jayme, and BBDO Guerrero Chairman David Guerrero.
Apart from the conference, the event will include the launch of the adobo Design Awards 2015, a networking party that gives participants the opportunity to mingle and strengthen their connections within the industry, and an exhibit.
The event will be held on November 22, 2014 at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier.
Registration starts at 8 am, the conference will run from 9 am to 6 pm, with the networking party to follow immediately after.

Early Bird tickets are at P1200 for student and P2000 for professionals until October 18. Regular tickets are at P1500 for students and P2500 for professionals.
