MANILA – 88Storey Films has added three new directors to its roster of in-house talents: Nani Naguit, Miguel Luis Calayan, and Raffy Francisco.

The directors will were welcomed on October 2 at Hooch in Makati at an event, “Sip, See & Savor”.

A graduate of Film and Audiovisual Communication from UP Diliman, Naguit’s background is in music videos directing Zia Quizon’s ‘Ako Na Lang’, Krissy & Ericka’s ’12:51′, and Sam Concepcion’s ‘Forever Young’.

Naguit has also directed spots such as ‘True Colors’ for Oishi, ‘Run’ for Rexona, and ‘Walls in Fashion’ for Davies Paints.

Calayan studied Cinematography at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and his work has been part of the Epidemic Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, and the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. Earlier in 2014, his film ‘First Match’ was named Best Short at the Grand Rapids Film Festival in Michigan–the only Philippine entry in the competition.

Calayan’s commercial work includes spots such as ‘You Can Make It’ for Red Bull, and ‘Measure’ for Gatorade.

A veteran music video and commercial director, Francisco had his formal training at the New York University, and was once a contestant on the relative TV show HpSpace, where artists vie for a cash prize by taking on a different creative challenge per episode. He has been director for various production houses such as Unitel and Electromedia, and was even once Brand Manager at Unilever. Francisco also happens to be the director behind the viral boxing video starring Ellen Adarna. 

Commercials by Francisco include Myra E’s ‘Bridge’, P&G’s ‘The Downy Effect’, and C2’s ‘Sarap ng Bukas.’
