MANILA – TeamAsia has been inducted into the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies (4AS) of the Philippines as the first non-advertising-specific agency to be allowed to join the organization.
Acknowledging the evolving nature of advertising agencies, members voted favorably on the same day to amend several by-laws of the association, which included the justification for the inclusion of the IMC firm. The membership criteria expanded from solely advertising agencies to marketing communications and advertising.
“The ways in which brands communicate to their audience have increasingly become more complex as we progress towards a more technology-driven, digitally-capable world,” said founder and president of TeamAsia, Monette Iturralde-Hamlin. “This is why agencies and associations must always evolve with the times in order to remain relevant.”
TeamAsia began as an event management-focused company which boomed into an award-winning multi-faceted agency offering five core services: experience, digital, content, creative and IMC.
“We’re honored to be a part of 4As, and therefore pledge to uphold the by-laws and code of ethics of the association,” Iturralde-Hamlin said.
The 4As works to enhance the relationship between member agencies and other sectors of the advertising industry, fosters social responsibility among practitioners, and helps protect the welfare of the general public.
The association has been instrumental in resolving key issues of the industry and was a major force in the establishment of the Advertising Board of the Philippines and the promulgation of the Code of Ethics. The 4As also took part in the formation of the TV Research Council, the Radio Research Council and the Print Media Audit Council.
This is also the first time that a member of the Advertising Suppliers Association of the Philippines (ASAP) has been admitted as a member of 4As.
