NEPAL — Mobile service provider Ncell has launched a Dashain film conceptualized by ADA/Sun/Outreach and director Abin Bho, urging people to remember the bond of love.
With technology advancing over the past few decades, individuals are now able to connect with people from around the world. However, they tend to forget the ones close to them. This Dashain, one of the biggest festivals in Nepal, Ncell encouraged people to take this opportunity to use technology to enhance reality and make memorable moments.
While technology has helped in getting connected globally, the essence of festivals has been gradually diminishing among younger generations who are now influenced by rapidly-changing technology. Hence, the team created a film which narrates the story between the relationship of a grandfather and granddaughter, highlighting the importance of connection with their loved ones and how technology can help to enhance real life relations.
The film was launched on the festive occasion and has garnered positive feedback from consumers on social media platforms. With 4.8 million views, 68 thousand likes and 922 shares on Facebook within a week’s time, the audience found the film to be relatable and heart touching and encouraged some to take this opportunity to connect with their loved ones.
