Isobar Japan and Dentsu IX join to launch mega agency

JAPAN – As a part of Isobar Global CEO, Jean Lin’s efforts to further build Isobar, the network has announced that Isobar Japan and Dentsu iX, which became a wholly owned subsidiary of Dentsu Digital Holdings, Inc., are merging to form one mega digital agency to be known as Dentsu Isobar as the new year opens.

“We are excited to expand Isobar in Japan, at a time of significant growth. Dentsu iX’s creatively-led technology teams complement Isobar’s global Brand Commerce offering, and further accelerates our ambitions both in Japan and globally. I am excited to welcome the Dentsu iX team to Isobar, and am proud that our teams will form the largest global digital agency in Tokyo,” said Lin.

With a combined number of over 300 people, Dentsu Isobar is now the largest global digital agency in Tokyo. The new agency will be headed by Takahiro Uchinaga, current CEO of Isobar Japan as the Chief Client Officer and Hidetoshi Tokumaru, current CEO of Dentsu iX, on the other hand, will head Dentsu Isobar as chief executive officer.
