NEW YORK – American international transportation network company, uber, the pioneer in on-demand transport services, is introducing yet another first–uberFAMILY.
This service aims to help parents and guardians who frequently travel with children by adding an option for a car unit to provide a car seat for a surcharge of $10.
uber partnered with The Car Seat Lady’s Dr. Alisa Baer to train uberX partner drivers on how to safely secure the IMMI Go car seats. So whenever a user requests uberFAMILY, a The Car Seat Lady certified driver will come with it.
uber has been known to offer first-of-its-kind services starting with the on-demand private transport service, the ubercopter during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France, where you can actually hire a helicopter using your phone as easy as hiring a car.
The service is currently only available in New York City. uber is yet to announce if this service will also be available to other countries where the company is present.
