AMSTERDAM – 180 Amsterdam today announces it has boosted its creative power with the hire of four international creatives, Berlin duo Lucas Schneider and David Kauder and Francesco Grandi and Rachel Kennedy, both Toronto-born.
The hire of the four creatives comes on the back of the agency’s recent high profile work for global brands such as PlayStation 4, REPLAY, ASICS, Qatar Airways and DHL, as new ECD team Dave Canning and Dan Treichel to add to a world-leading creative department.
German creative partners Lucas and David met at acclaimed Heimat Berlin, where they worked on running and football campaigns for adidas, as well as Champions League Final activity for Bayern Munich. David also spent time at VCCP Berlin, working on campaigns for Nike, BMW and Converse, before they repartnered and moved to 180 Amsterdam.
Francesco joins from Canada’s most awarded agency Rethink, in Toronto, where he worked on campaigns such as the Cannes Lion and Clio award-winning UberSafe drink driving awareness project. Prior to that he worked at Ogilvy & Mather and TBWA\Toronto, creating campaigns for global brands such as Apple, Dove, Gatorade and Visa.
Rachel started her career at Saatchi & Saatchi Canada, working with brands such as Toyota and P&G, as well as pro bono campaigns for Tourette Syndrome Foundation and The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity.
Each of the creatives has been tasked with bringing their individual perspective and flair to the agency’s work for global brands, as well as helping to build on 180 Amsterdam’s reputation as one of the world’s premier creative shops. They will be working across the agency’s headline clients including ASICS, DHL and Qatar Airways.
Francesco Grandi, Senior Copywriter, 180 Amsterdam, commented: “This is the moment for 180 Amsterdam. There’s a feeling right now that we are on the brink of becoming the coolest agency on the planet, which is why I decided I needed to play a part in this transformation.”

There are great people at every level of the business and being such an international team really makes an impact on the quality of the work we create.”
