One of the country’s biggest media agencies, ZenithOptimedia Philippines (ZO), recently held a conference exclusive for their clients at the Enderun Atrium in McKinley Hill. The event was called ‘Say I Do’ which aimed to educate their clients such as Nestle Philippines, Wyeth, Globe Telecom, and Bank of the Philippine Islands on contagious content and the use of the dynamic social network Facebook to build their businesses.

The title of the event ‘Say I Do’ symbolizes ZO’s commitment to Facebook, their clients, and the socially savvy consumers they serve, according to ZenithOptimedia Philippines Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Santos. “As partners, we keep our clients’ best interests in mind, delivering what matters most in any relationship – content that is substantial, authentic, and meaningful, distributed in the right platforms at the right time,” Santos added.

Meanwhile, Facebook APAC’s Head of Agencies Neil Stewart says, “It is a real pleasure to be able to partner with ZenithOptimedia and share to some of the leading brands in the market learnings inspiration from around the world.” He also stressed the amount of opportunities given to marketers by joining different platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, especially now that consumers in the country spend more time interacting and sharing using their mobile and consuming content.

Among the speakers who shared their knowledge about the relevance of social network advertising in the Philippines were Amit Chaubey (Head of Marketing Science, SEA, Facebook) and Isabelle Turpault (Digital Director of ZO Philippines) who talked about the current state of the “Digital Pinoys.” The realities of this new world and what brands need to do to stay in the game were discussed by Neil Stewart and Paul Webster (Brand Development Lead, APAC, Instagram). Paolo Mercado, Senior Vice-President and Head of Communications of Nestle Philippines, shared their brand’s digital experience and learning. And lastly, Tanvi Sharma (Global Accounts Lead, APAC, Facebook) and Harpreet Kaintel (Chief Information Officer, APAC, ZenithOptimedia) talked about maximizing return of investment (ROI) and its measurement in a multi-deviced world.

To end the event, a team of panelists led by ZO South East Asia CEO Gareth Mulryan were invited to discuss the topic even further. Among the panelists were Globe Telecom Vice President and Head of Communications Charly Atienza, Manila Bulletin Head of Social Media and Blogger Jayvee Fernandez, and Wedding Videography, Visual Storyteller, and Content Curator Jason Magbanua.

“We all know that the Philippines is a very social and creative market with a love for storytelling,” said Mulryan. “We hope today’s conference proved that content can come from any source and we are able to produce this content across multiple screens. And more importantly, from a marketing perspective, you are able to measure the content’s effectiveness and understand the ROI it delivers.”
