SINGAPORE — Meltwater, a global leader in media intelligence and data analytics, has announced two new senior hires to spearhead its customer journey and business functions and strengthen its presence in the APAC region.
Huixian Yang has been named Meltwater’s Customer Experience Director (APAC). With over a decade of experience in customer success at leading technology brands like Google, SAP, Microsoft, and Fuji-Xerox, Huixian will bring her data-driven approach to deliver customer excellence and shape Meltwater’s global customer success framework.
Jeff Piniros will be stepping into the role of Sales Development Director (APAC). Formerly from Salesforce, he will be responsible for pipeline generation to drive revenue and growth goals while nurturing and growing the next generation of sales talent.
Commenting on the appointments, David Hickey, Executive Director of Meltwater, said, “Both Huixian and Jef will be pivotal in steering the company through our next phase of growth. Welcoming new clients on board
The new strategic hires follow an exciting period of growth for Meltwater in APAC. Meltwater saw 52% growth in new clients in Q2 compared to Q1. Southeast Asia and Japan continue to be at the core of Meltwater’s growth in the region with the Philippines proving to be one such key market. Notable brands include PGAG, Shang Properties, and Inquirer.net.
Go-to comedy brand PGAG under the Hepmil Media Group uses Klear, Meltwater’s influencer management platform to track and consolidate creator data across multiple social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Meanwhile, luxury real-estate developer Shang Properties uses Meltwater’s AI-powered Engage and Explore services to measure how its brand, properties, and social media pages are perceived across paid, earned, and owned media.
Finally, top Filipino broadcasting company Inquirer.net relies on Meltwater’s Engage for a comprehensive, bird’s eye view of how all the brands under its label are performing on social media.
AI has been at the core of Meltwater’s innovation for over 20 years
Guided by a Scientific Advisory Board, Meltwater has consistently stayed ahead of the curve as far as developing industry-leading AI-based solutions is concerned.
