MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Two weeks before the Boomerang Awards night, Leigh Reyes, IMMAP Past President and Mullen Lowe TREYNA’s Chief Emeritus, stepped in as Head of Jury. Her appointment came just in time for the final jury deliberation over 137 entries to the country’s Digital show.
Leigh took stock of the initial results and reported, “This year, the Boomerang Awards received over 300 entries, and the main jury shortlisted 137.”
“Transforming a brand, business, organization, even an entire category, is a huge undertaking. Innovation that’s disruptive and sustainable, plus creativity that makes innovation irresistible, can deliver transformative impact. That’s the kind of work we want to elevate and celebrate on awards night.”
The jurors will pore over a shortlist topped by entries from agencies Propel Manila, GIGIL, Leo Burnett, and Publicis JimenezBasic. What separates Boomerang Awards from other competitions is the diversity of its entrants, where advertisers and platforms shine just as brightly. McDonald’s still remains on top of this year’s list, with Meta, Maya, and Netflix at its heels.
IMMAP’s Boomerang Awards is sponsored by Google, GrabAds, Spotify Ads, Metrobank, and Digital Turbine. It is supported by partners Meta, Hyper Island, PWC, Google Cloud, Nuworks, Elesi, San Miguel Corporation, Diageo, Gardenia, Mister Donut, and Angkas.
IMMAP will announce the winners of this edition’s Boomerang Awards on October 20, at House Manila in Newport City.
