SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — Cheil Worldwide has been ranked as the no. 1 global creative network from Asia by WARC(World Advertising Research Center) according to WARC Creative 100, a ranking of the world’s most awarded campaigns and companies for creativity.
The WARC Creative 100 has run since 1999 and acts as a benchmark for creative excellence by compiling the results of creative award shows around the world that ran the year before its publication.
In the rankings announced this year, Cheil Worldwide is no. 12 most awarded global agency network, renewing its all-time high ranking. The agency network’s highest position to date was no. 14 in 2019. Moreover, Cheil Worldwide reclaimed the most awarded Asian global agency network position in three years.
Cheil Worldwide has won around 130 creative accolades at international award shows including the Cannes Lions in which it won the Grand Prix, D&AD, and One Show. The number of awards the agency network has won increased by 25% compared to the previous year with a breadth of campaigns across the network being recognized for its creative excellence.
The most successful campaign from the agency network was “Knock Knock” by Cheil Worldwide Seoul and the Korean National Police Agency which introduced the silent emergency call solution, climbing to no. 4 most awarded campaign globally. The recognition is significant as it is the only Asian campaign to be among the top 10, and Korea’s first-ever campaign to enter the top five.
Samsung “Unfear” (no. 21) by Cheil Worldwide Spain, and Samsung “Quest for Dyslexia” (no. 50) by Cheil Hong Kong and Cheil PengTai Beijing also contributed to the agency network’s success with entry into the Top 100 Campaigns.
