MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines‘ Homecare Brand Director Ian Phillip Villaruel was honored as one of the 2024 “Top Filipino Youth Marketers” at the 19th Mansmith Young Market Masters Awards (YMMA).
Ian’s exceptional brand building and marketing management for P&G’s dishwashing liquid brand Joy has been recognized with this accolade. The Mansmith YMMA is an esteemed recognition program in the Philippines organized by Mansmith and Fielders, Inc. The program recognizes the excellence of young marketers and entrepreneurs 35 years old and below in the areas of brand and marketing management, business development, and entrepreneurship.
As a Brand Director, Ian leads in promoting Joy’s superiority in cleaning dishes. Joy is the market leader in the dish care category known for its memorable slogan “Isang patak, isang katutak,” which emphasizes its superiority in grease cleaning.
His leadership extends to organizational development in P&G Philippines. He plays a crucial role in supporting the capability arm of P&G’s brand organization, which is responsible for devising plans to equip the Brand Marketing Function with the necessary marketing and leadership skills. He has led a series of training for new P&G Brand Managers by localizing the company’s global marketing trainings.
