MANILA, PHILIPPINES Meta and Ayala Foundation, together with the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP), have launched the inaugural DYC Very Young Creators Competition. The competition is open to young creators 30 years old and below with less than five years of professional experience.

“It’s important to give young creatives more opportunities to showcase their talents,” said DMAP DYC Chairperson Raymund Sison. “This move is another chance for young talents to shine and represent the country to international festivals.”

This partnership with DMAP DYC is an opportunity for Ayala Foundation to support one of its core advocacies in education, this time through helping inspire a young and vibrant community of creatives,” commented Paul Vincent Mercado, Senior Director for Marketing and Donor Relations at Ayala Foundation. “We hope that this will be the first of many partnership opportunities to come.”

Meta’s Cams Sta. Ana-Tuason added, “This year’s brief for this division is in collaboration with multiple brands. Two things excite me about this year’s DYC. One is that we’re opening the competition to a more diverse definition of digital young creators – from all those who are currently employed by creative agencies, production companies, tech shops to also influencers and content creators. It should be interesting to see a variety of perspectives/approaches on a single brief. Second, I’m looking forward to the participants submitting Reels as part of the brief response. Reels is more than just a placement, or a format on Meta.  It is a language of its own, characterized by a set of trends, creative storytelling, and visual codes – all of which evolve and shift over time as people and creators play with it, remix it, and reinterpret it. It’s perfect for the DYC participants to truly showcase their creativity!”

The other  division, the standard Young Creators Competition (open to young creators 30 years old and below, with no limits on work experience) will be held simultaneously.

The DYC Bootcamp and Competition Briefing will be held on October 03 at Ayala Museum. Participants from agencies, brands, tech companies, and start-ups will attend an afternoon loaded with learning sessions and mentoring breakouts from the industry’s best and brightest.

“Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn from industry experts, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and gain hands-on experience while enhancing your portfolio! These programs don’t come often so take the leap and join DYC today. At the very least, it should be fun,” said Cams.

Paul added more perspective on what DYC can do for young creators outside the competition, sharing that it’s “more than just a competition.”

“It’s an opportunity to network and to get to know other creatives in your field while at the same time honing your design thinking in a space full of inspiration and culture at Ayala Museum. Being a part of DYC will push you out of your comfort zone and open you up to more co-creation possibilities with other young creatives. And who knows? At the end of your DYC journey might be a trip to South Korea for MAD Stars!”

The winners of Very Young Creators will compete at the MAD STARS New Stars Competition 2025 in Busan, South Korea. The winners of the Young Creators Competition will represent the country at the Adfest Young Lotus Competition 2025 in Pattaya, Thailand.
