MANILA – Gladys Basinillo, Carat CEO has resigned from her post effective October 17, 2017 for health and personal reasons. She has decided to take a break, slow down and take care of some family matters. “After more than 20 years in the media industry, I would like to take a rest and look for other opportunities,” Gladys said.

Gladys has been with Carat for more than five years. Under her leadership she managed to bring the agency from number 12 to number 2 in RECMA’s qualitative ranking.  She likewise played a key role in elevating Carat’s overall capability and competitiveness, in winning new accounts, and in nurturing and keeping the agency’s roster of clients.

Gladys was also responsible in making the Carat as the most awarded media agency in the first ICE Awards held in 2015; in establishing Carat Play, the engagement marketing arm of the agency: and in transforming Carat to be one of the leading digital media agencies in the country with end to end digital offerings.

Gladys, who currently sits as president of the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP) is a staunch advocate of OPM and a strong believer of music marketing. She conceptualized and produced Fusion, The First Philippine Music Festival and Alab, the First Independent Rising Awards.
