IPG Mediabrands names Darren Yuen as new Malaysia CEO, effective immediately

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA — IPG Mediabrands, the media holding company within Interpublic Group, have announced the appointment of Darren Yuen, former CEO Initiative Malaysia, to the elevated role of CEO IPG Mediabrands Malaysia.

An industry veteran with 27 years media experience, including eight years within the IPG Mediabrands Malaysia network, most recently as CEO Initiative Malaysia; Yuen is a well-seasoned innovative leader equipped to drive the IPG Mediabrands network through their next stage transformative regeneration.

The announcement comes following the news that long-standing CEO of IPG Mediabrands Malaysia, Bala Pomaleh, made the decision to leave the business to focus on the next stage of his career. “Bala has spent 8.5 years building IPG Mediabrands Malaysia to the much celebrated, industry-leading media network it stands proud as today,” commented Leigh Terry. “He leaves with our thanks and appreciation for his commitment and lasting impact.” 

Darren Yuen is based in Kuala Lumpur and will report to Leigh Terry. His position is effective immediately.
