PJB’s “Rogue One” campaign for Globe – Corporate launched last December 2016 to promote the telco company’s partnership with the movie, “Star Wars: Rogue One” won Best of Show and the Best in Effectiveness Awards as well as a Gold, three Silvers, and one Bronze.

Driven by the success of the said campaign, Globe – Corporate was named this year’s Advertiser of the Year.

The campaign had as its centrepiece a tear-jerking online video which featured girl going through the usual life of a student wearing a Stormtrooper mask. The girl’s story then took an unusual turn when she arrived in school one day to find her classmates wearing Stormtrooper masks. She then took off her mask to reveal a respirator hiding underneath to show that she was undergoing treatment for a sickness. The spot ends with Globe’s latest tagline, “Create. Courage. Create. Wonderful.”

The campaign also asked people to donate for the benefit of the Philippine General Hospital’s children cancer patients. The effort raised almost a million pesos in donations.

“Rogue One” has already been awarded a Grand Prix at the Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards 2017, a Grand Kidlat, a Bronze Statue at this year’s Clio Awards and a Silver Lotus at ADFEST among others.

Meanwhile, the Best in Creative Excellence Award presented by adobo magazine was given to J. Walter Thompson Philippines for the “Stand Up” campaign for client Manulife.
