Hong Kong Tourism Board appoints Raymond Chan as Regional Director, Southeast Asia

HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced that Mr Raymond Chan has been appointed Regional Director, Southeast Asia effective 1 May 2018.  In his new role, Mr Chan will lead the development and implementation of HKTB’s marketing strategies in Southeast Asia.

HKTB Executive Director Mr Anthony Lau expressed confidence in Mr Chan in his new role, “With Raymond’s extensive marketing and tourism experience, as well as strong trade expertise and connections in the region, I am sure he will steer our business to new heights and make significant contribution to fuel continued growth of the Southeast Asian market for Hong Kong tourism.”

Mr Chan joined HKTB in 2012 and has held different senior positions for marketing, public relations and trade development in Taiwan and Southeast Asia Region. Prior to this appointment, Mr Chan was the Senior Manager, Trade Development for the Southeast Asia region for the HKTB.

Mr Chan was appointed to succeed Mr Simon Wong who had been with the HKTB since 2006. Mr Anthony Lau expressed his gratitude to Mr Wong for his contribution to the HKTB and Hong Kong’s tourism industry over the past 12 years.
