In the Media Agency categories, MindShare still walked away with Best in Media Creativity and Media Agency of the Year. Group Managing Director Mitos Borromeo dedicated the award to her teams Maximize and Maxus.

But Universal McCann prevented a repeat of MindShare Philippines’ grand slam, by winning Best in Media Business Perfomance. Venus Navalta, president of Universal McCann, credited its victory to growing the business in spite of higher commissions.

However, it may be interesting to see how well MindShare and Universal McCann might have fared if Starcom were in the running. An aggressive industry player, the latter is ineligible for competition, because it is still not a member of the Philippine 4As, owner of the AOY franchise.

In the categories of Production Excellence, Femar was named Print Production House of the Year. Cannes Lion-winning Hit Productions won Radio Production House of the Year for the seventh time. Production Village ousted Film Experts as TV Production House of the Year.
