A house inspired by Star Wars — well that dream is not a galaxy far, far away. KENNETHCOBONPUE and Disney have joined forces to turn that into reality.
Disney’s very first collaboration with a furniture brand honors the American epic space opera franchise, and is dedicated to all the fans of the Star Wars universe. The collection was launched on October 10, Wednesday at the KENNETHCOBONPUE Manila Showroom in Makati City.
With a focus on classic Star Wars, the KENNETHCOBONPUE design team led by Creative Director Kenneth Cobonpue crafted three (3) easy armchairs, a rocking stool, and a hanging lamp inspired by iconic characters and elements.
Kenneth expresses, “We wanted to incorporate the essence of each Star Wars character into the designs, while staying true to our aesthetic and process of creating them by hand. We reimagined the Star Wars universe through the lens of the Filipino craftsman and creative. Finding the balance was a bit of a challenge, but it was also a lot of fun.”
