Singapore Design Week is back bigger and better this 2019!
Organised by the SingaporeDesign Council, SDW has become one of Asia’s premier design festivals, bringing together a collection of local and international design activities found around the city as well as creating a platform for Singaporeans and guests to experience the very best of design talents and business across Singapore and Asia.
From March 4 to 17, SDW has partnered with 70 collaborators – including 29 design practices, 10 educational institutions, 9 corporates and 8 government agencies – to create an amazing line up of programs, forums, talks, workshops, exhibitions and tours all around the city of Singapore. That’s a lot!
No need to feel overwhelmed with the selections and events happening across the city, as you can choose a track that suits your taste and curiosity. To make the audience experience more personal and intentional, SDW has split over 80 activities into four thematic tracks: transform business (aimed for business leaders, and design, transformation and innovation leads); empower the community (aimed for community leader and aspiring change-makers); inspire the everyday (aimed for craft lovers, design enthusiasts and families); and reimagine the future (aimed for designers, students and educators).
Here’s our picks per track we are looking forward to this year’s Singapore Design Week!
TRANSFORM BUSINESS
International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS)
This year, the IFFS is changing tradition and moving into a new venue (Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre). EMPOWER THE COMMUNITY

This year, DesignSingapore has invited representatives from the 30 UNESCO Creative Cities of Design to a public forum on March 8 to discuss and share their insights on “designing for impact in public policy, education, business and communications.”
