Stevies 2019: An Evening of Honoring Innovation in Excellent Business Practices, the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards Recognized the Best Organizations in the Region

SINGAPORE – It was the year 2002 when Michael Gallagher, President and Founder of the Stevie Awards, recognized the need for an awards show honoring excellent and positive contributions initiated by business organizations all around the world. Since its launch more than a decade ago, it has released a total of 7 programs under the Stevie Awards name, ranging from the American Business Awards, to the German Stevie Awards, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business to the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service and more. 

The prestigious award-giving body has also made its way to our side of the pond with the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards that is currently on its 6th year, recognizing the best business practices in the region. On June 3, 2019 in the Intercontinental Hotel at Singapore, these businesses (both local and multinational alike) were honored in one evening of celebration while in the company of some of Asia Pacific’s most forward-thinking leaders, and adobo was right there with them. All in all, hundreds of trophies were given to the winning businesses throughout the evening, with 27 organizations from the Philippines bringing home 104 Stevie awards. Big PH winners were ABS-CBN Corporation, DMCI Homes, Eastern Communications, Globe Telecom, Inc., Light Rail Manila Corporation, Manila Electric Company(MERALCO), Maynilad Water Services, Inc., Maynilad Water Services, Inc., MediXserve Philippines, Megaworld Foundation, Inc., Philippines Urban Living Solutions Inc., Resorts World Manila, SM MART, INC., SM Supermalls, The EON Group, and Union Bank of the Philippines.

6 Grand winners were also named for the organizations that have the largest number of Stevie points this year and our team were able to get their take on the impact of their business to the industry, and the Stevie Awards as an award-giving body to the industry as a whole. 

Most Honored Organization: SM Supermalls of the Philippines are the winner with 67 award points. (Points are calculated with three points for each Gold Stevie win, two for each Silver win, and 1.5 points for each Bronze Stevie win.)
