ASIA-PACIFIC – MALAYSIA, SEPTEMBER 2010 – Vivian Tan was recently named general manager of G2 Public Relations, Grey Group Malaysia’s public relations consultancy. She reports to Grey Group Malaysia CEO Nicky Lim.
Tan, previously assistant vice president of corporate communications with Measat Broadcast Network Systems (Astro), explored strategic communications plans for internal and external stakeholders of the network and worked on most of its recently launched programs: Astro B.yond, Astro Arena and Astro 2010 FIFA World Cup offerings. At Weber Shandwick, she led and managed the total operations of the practice from personnel to monthly deliverables as head of consumer marketing and healthcare practice.
She has also taught English to Korean children in Seoul, worked on the Petrosains KLCC project in her heydays and was attached to Damai Service Hospital as head of department for the IVF centre and business development manager for the entire hospital. An English and Mass Communications graduate and an architecture enthusiast, Tan studied Korean Language and Women Studies in Korea on a scholarship.
