GLOBAL – NEW YORK, NY, USA, NOVEMBER 17, 2010 – The One Club has announced the creation of a development program that will link agencies, products and services with the most prestigious awards shows and educational programs in the advertising, design and interactive industries. The One Club is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to elevating creative work in the advertising industry.
Alison Davis Curry heads the development program. Aside from her consulting work, Curry is also publisher & CEO at the New York directory MyUrbanSherpa.net. She previously worked with the Art Directors Club.
"Alison’s passion and expertise in our field will be invaluable in helping our sponsors develop programs with us to promote their good names with excellence and innovation in the field," said Kevin Swanepoel, The One Club President. "Our board is keen to move The One Club from the number one position in the U.S., to the number one position internationally, and the development program will enable us to do just that."
Now on its 35th year, The One Club grew around the awards show, now The One Show Festival, a week-long celebration of advertising, design, entertainment, education and interactive work in New York’s Lincoln Center. The One Club released the film, "Art & Copy" at the 2009 Sundance Festival to rave reviews, and later aired on PBS.
