Singapore — BBDO India’s Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Josy Paul presided as the Jury President for Film and Print & Publishing, and Glass: The Award for Change at this year’s Spikes Asia held on September 25 to 27 . During the Festival of Creativity, Paul gives adobo magazine his thoughts on the themes among the categories he has judged and the themes that are yet to emerge in the future.
He muses that the battles of the future depend on the brands and how they act as filters to see the world differently. In the film category in particular, he has seen entries that revolves on activism and being agents of change—his learnings from which, he intends to impart to his own agency, BBDO India.
Asked what he thinks of the future of advertising, Paul believes that it will always fall on the hands of the people who influence the industry. “If they do the right thing, the world will do the right thing,” he added.
