R/GA’s Tuomas Peltoniemi will be speaking this coming December 5, 2019 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila in line with this year’s adobo Festival of Ideas. His talk will surround the overall theme for this year’s festival, “The Connectivity Economy”, a look at how the modern economy is fueled by collaboration over competition, and the role creative and innovative thinking plays in achieving business and sustainability goals.
As EVP and Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Peltoniemi is responsible for growing and managing our five Asia-Pacific offices, as well as expanding the agency’s presence in the region. Operating from R/GA Singapore, he also works collaboratively with the global network to support client relationships and drive new business.
Peltoniemi has an incredible pedigree focused on industry innovation, having worked at the intersection of technology, strategy and creativity across three continents and for nearly two decades. He joined R/GA following a seven-year tenure with TBWA Digital Arts Network. Previously in TBWA, he served as the Head of Digital Arts Network in Singapore, leading the agency to its acclaim as digital innovators in South East Asia, and Managing Director and Partner of !NOOB in Helsinki, guiding them from solely being known as a startup business to being named as Finland’s Digital Agency of the Year.
He has been featured in Campaign Asia-Pacific’s 40 Under 40 list, awarded Asia-Pacific Digital Network Agency Head of the Year in that publication’s 2017 Agency of the Year Awards, and is a prolific industry speaker, commentator and awards judge. He’s also a passionate supporter of developing new businesses and talent through mentoring early stage technology startups and lecturing on digital marketing for various MBA programs.
At this year’s Festival of Ideas, Peltoniemi will unpack how the structure, capabilities and approach of R/GA is building thriving Connected Brands. The purchasing power and expectations of Gen Z and Millennials are driving brands out of their comfort zones, forcing them to rethink strategies and behave differently to create a competitive advantage. This session will explore how R/GA is helping them do it.
