MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Soupstar Music brings back “Velvet Live” now with the “Streamlined Edition”, a series of streaming shows through Facebook Live. Velvet Live will provide weekly live entertainment from Soupstar artists namely 6cyclemind, Moonstar88, Imago, Gracenote, Pedicab, Banda Ni Kleggy, Ultra Combo and its new breed of artists Better Days, Kurei, The Vowels They Orbit and We Got in these times of isolation from the comfort of their homes.

Presented by Smart, Velvet Live aims to use this platform to also help raise funds by encouraging people to make a difference by donating through MVPRewards.ph or the MVP Rewards app.  By donating their earned stars, people can help send out care packs for the families of frontline health workers, checkpoint officers, emergency response teams, and communities in need during the quarantine period.

Velvet Live recognizes that the music industry is also one of the those deeply affected and hard-hit by the lockdown due to the nCov crisis. That’s why these series of shows also aim to help artists and their crew in these times. Even before the lockdown was declared, most of the live shows and concerts were cancelled and postponed for social distancing and safety measures. With their main source of income gone, they have nowhere to turn to. We are happy that through this effort, we will be able to allow them to “work from home” and provide some sort of relief and support for those close to our hearts.

The first session of Velvet Live featured Moonstar88 on March 23. Weekly show starts at 5pm on Soupstar Music facebook page.

Keep the music alive! Stay safe and connected!
