MANILA, PHILIPPINES – As the enhanced community quarantine continues, children remain out of school with limited means to learn. Alaska Fortified Milk and its creative agency, TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, launched an ongoing storybook reading online series called the Alaska Fortified Bahay Book Club. The program aims to let kids continue their learning through reading along and discovering important values while they stay at home.

To create the series, Alaska partnered with Adarna House, the award-winning local publishing company that creates illustrated books for children of all ages. The partnership has started to bring some of Adarna’s well-loved titles to a bigger audience online.

Each episode is shot at home, and features a teacher reading a Filipino story aloud to beautiful illustrations. One episode will be released every week during lockdown, and will still be available for streaming onwards as the country continues to face the COVID-19 crisis.
