BANGKOK, THAILAND — Krungthai Bank, aiming to support local communities and businesses in Thailand, launched the campaign called #StandByRoadsideStoreSide asking people to help save their nearby roadside restaurants by reviewing and post them on their social media, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to show that they care for them and help spread awareness for those restaurants.
In compliance with the COVID-19 lockdown, many stores in Thailand remained closed. Restaurants are only allowed to open for take away, and only a few local roadside restaurants are not online were available on food delivery apps.
Using the hashtag, #StandByRoadsideStoreSide, thousands of people participated and helped many restaurants in need of customers. The hashtag allowed people to find interesting restaurants in their area and help them make it through the lockdown.
